mAY 2021: sUSTAINABLE foOD chOICES

This month’s talk included how to eat more sustainably by eating locally grown food, participating in CSA’s, and considering how food miles factor in when making more eco-conscious choices around what we feed ourselves. Brianna Meeker joined us for this chat. She works for GreenMichigan.org and runs Zero Waste Journal on Instagram. She is so passionate about eco-conscious living and is a serious wealth of information!

aPRIL 2021: sUSTAINABLE fASHION

The week of April 24 marks Fashion Revolution Week which began in 2013 following the collapse of Rana Plaza in Bangladesh, a delapitated garment factory employing thousands of workers, over 1,000 of whom were crushed to death when the building collapsed. We talk about the fashion industry including fast fashion, garment workers, and how we can be more responsible consumers.
