Beeswax Wrap Workshop - Caledonia Township KDL

FREE to the public! The branch may require you to RSVP to this event, so be sure to check if that is required.

Are you intrigued by the zero waste movement, but aren't sure how to get started? Are you overwhelmed by the sheer amounts of plastic found in your kitchen, but don't know what to use in its place? In this virtual workshop, Christina will facilitate an informational discussion of materials then together, we'll make our own lovely, reusable, and eco-conscious beeswax wraps! Additional beeswax solution bars ($8 each) are also available. Each bar makes approximately 3-12"x12" square wraps.

This class will be held at Caledonia KDL, but this class will be taught at other branches as well if you cannot make this one.

Beeswax Wrap Workshop at Bettie's Pages

Are you intrigued by the zero waste movement, but aren't sure how to get started? Are you overwhelmed by the sheer amounts of plastic found in your kitchen, but don't know what to use in its place? In this virtual workshop, Christina will facilitate an informational discussion of materials then together, we'll make our own lovely, reusable, and eco-conscious beeswax wraps! When you leave this workshop, you'll have the power (and skill) to be able to eliminate plastic wrap from your kitchen forever as well as your very own beeswax wraps to use at home!

At this workshop you will go home with 2 beeswax wraps that you make during the event and a link to more information so you can make them on your own.

Additional beeswax solution bars ($8 each) are also available. Each bar makes approximately 3-12"x12" square wraps.

Papermaking Workshop at GT Connections

Papermaking Workshop at GT Connections

Join us for a fun paper-making workshop for seniors and their grandkids! Papermaking is a simple and creative craft that you can easily do at home with loved ones. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll transform used paper and other materials into beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations. You’ll receive all the tips and tricks to continue making your own paper at home. Plus, you’ll be able to take home everything you make! This workshop will be led by Christina Threloff, owner of My Lovely Muse. We can’t wait to create with you!

This workshop is drop-in style, meaning you can come anytime within the 1-3pm timeframe. Making paper can take as little as a couple minutes to make one sheet, but you can make as many as your heart desires!

COST: This workshop will be donation based. Feel free to pay whatever you think it’s worth, or just come to try a new skill with loved ones on a budget!

WHAT TO BRING: Feel free to bring any fun embellishments to add to your paper, such as seeds, colorful paper scraps, threads, or anything else that sparks your creativity! Your paper may not be completely dry by the time you leave. In that case, parchment paper will be provided so you can safely travel home with your new paper, or you can bring your own fabric (pillow cases, towels, etc.) for the paper to dry on and to transport home with you.
