The art of papermaking is really quite easy and something you can learn and do at home with friends and family! We will be making paper out of used paper and other materials. You’ll get all the tips and tricks to make on your own and you’ll be able to take home what you make. Feel free to bring any embellishments you’d like to add to your paper like seeds, colorful paper, threads, etc. Each participant will take home whatever paper they make, or can pick it up at the Library once it's dry. Class is for adults, teens, and older children (with an adult).

Fee is $15/person. Cost can be paid at the class.
Class will be held in the Library's lower level program room, accessible by stairs or elevator.

This workshop will be facilitated by Christina Threloff, owner and sewist behind My Lovely Muse.

Beeswax Wrap Workshop at Gathered Botanicals

Are you intrigued by the zero waste movement, but aren't sure how to get started? Are you overwhelmed by the sheer amounts of plastic found in your kitchen, but don't know what to use in its place? In this virtual workshop, Christina will facilitate an informational discussion of materials then together, we'll make our own lovely, reusable, and eco-conscious beeswax wraps! When you leave this workshop, you'll have the power (and skill) to be able to eliminate plastic wrap from your kitchen forever as well as your very own beeswax wraps to use at home!

At this workshop you will go home with 2 beeswax wraps that you make during the event and a link to more information so you can make them on your own.

Additional beeswax solution bars ($10 each) are also available. Each bar makes approximately 3-12"x12" square wraps.
