Do you have garments that need repairing? We can help you! Do you know how to mend and are interested in a community time with our talented mending circle? Join us and help us help others! Mending helps us take eco-steps toward sustainability by minimizing clothing waste, as well as unnecessary spending on new garments . Plus, it’s fun to learn and do!

Monthly Mending Circle
Every third Wednesday of the month
from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Georgetown Township Library. Feel free to bring friends and family of all ages, along with your mending basket to learn a new skill or help keep each other accountable to better sustainability through mending! Meet at Georgetown Township Library 1535 Baldwin St., Jenison, MI. Feel free to bring food and drink to enjoy while we relax and mend. An assortment of tools and notions will be available for use including speedweve looms, sashiko thread, cotton darning thread, all purpose sewing thread, a variety of needles, darning mushrooms, embroidery hoops, pins, clips, and more. Feel free to bring your own sewing kit if you’d like.

*If you’d like to schedule a mending workshop with your university group, library, or any other group of individuals interested in mending what they have, reach out to see what available we have to come to you for a 1-2 hour workshop.

These mending workshops are free, however, donations are appreciated to replenish our notions and for sharing our skill and time. You may donate cash or via venmo @mylovelymuse or PayPal christina@mylovelmuse.com.
