Join us for a meaningful gathering that celebrates the art of mending, emphasizing sustainability and the beauty of repairing rather than discarding garments. This community-driven event invites participants to bring their worn or damaged clothing and learn techniques to mend them in an aesthetically pleasing way. The circle fosters a sense of camaraderie and shared learning as attendees exchange tips, stories, and inspiration, embracing the philosophy that imperfections add character and value to personal belongings. Our gathering will promote environmental consciousness by reducing waste while also encouraging a mindful approach to consumption and a deeper appreciation for craftsmanship.
I will bring notions and tools including: thread, needles, pins, seam rippers, darning eggs, speed weave, scissors, rulers, etc. Feel free to bring your own sewing kit if you prefer.
This event is free, however donations are appreciated (though not required) for time and materials
Donations are appreciated to replenish our notions and for sharing our skill and time, but not necessary.
